Since he founded Sunny Safaris in 1983, Firoz Ali Suleman’s vision has been to create a safari operation that is environmentally friendly, so that guests can experience the wonders of Tanzania’s nature first hand, leaving only the lightest of footprints. Our first itineraries were adventure mobile camping safaris, walking safaris and bike safaris, which extended naturally into cultural tourism. Today we can offer the full range of safari experiences. From top-end luxury to adventure camping, all of our tours are guided and catered by our experienced and highly trained staff.

Our Staff
Sunny Safaris has more than 100 employees dedicated to providing guests with efficient and friendly service, and an outstanding safari experience. These include our driver guides, walking safari guides, mountain guides, cooks, camp crew and our maintenance team, who maintain our fleet of safari vehicles and other mobile equipment to the highest standards. All Sunny Staff members, from office personnel to cooks, are well trained, experienced, and keen to meet your every wish. Distinctive in their smart uniforms, they will always greet you with a smile.
Guides
All of our walking and driver guides are specialists in their own way. Some specialize in ornithology, others in ecology and animal behavior, but all have an excellent general knowledge of the National Parks and the animal kingdom. Each safari is lead by a driver/guide, fluent in English and Kiswahili, with an in-depth knowledge of all aspects of animal spotting, identification, and behavior.
Our mountain guides have all climbed Kilimanjaro numerous times by the different routes, and know the mountain intimately. Professionally licensed, they are always successful in their task of getting visitors safely and happily to the summit through their guidance and care. Your guide will be present at the pre-climb briefing in Sunny Safaris’ office.
Vehicles
Our fleet of four wheel drive safari equipped vehicles includes Toyota Land Cruisers and Land Rover Defenders. Each safari vehicle is specially equipped with:
- H/F radio call on board
- car satellite tracking devices
- guaranteed window seats
Access to the roof hatches ensures the best game viewing and photography experience. We also provide maps, flora and fauna guidebooks, and a pair of binoculars for your interest and usage.
Our fully equipped maintenance center, located in Njiro, Arusha, maintains all our vehicles to a high standard of excellence. Our maintenance team consists of head mechanics, a wheels department, and motor vehicle frame and body-lab technicians, all of whom keep each vehicle in optimal condition to ensure reliable and safe journeys.
In the unlikely event of a breakdown, we always have backup vehicles that will be deployed immediately so that there are no interruptions on your safari.

Booking your Safari
With Sunny Safaris you have financial security. Once you have paid Sunny Safaris Ltd. for your Tanzanian holiday, your money is protected by the Tanzania Tourist Board and the Tanzania Association of Tour Operators.

Reservations and Payment
After receiving your final itinerary and cost of the trip from our safari consultants, a deposit of 50% will be required to make the reservation. The balance can be paid upon your arrival in Arusha at our main office located on Col. Middleton Road / Stadium Road, in cash or traveler's cheques.
We welcome Visa and MasterCard as well, but with a surcharge of 3 to 5%.
Alternatively, you can wire the full amount into our bank account prior to your arrival.

Cancellation
In the event of cancellation less than 35 days prior to your safari start date, a cancellation fee of 100% will apply.
More than 35 days prior to the start date, a cancellation fee of 30% will apply, plus any additional third party payments.
Sunny Safaris Ltd. reserves the rights to cancel your bookings if the 50% reservation payment is not received 35 days prior to date of service.
